Antifreeze Poisoning in Massachusetts

As of 2011, Massachusetts law requires the addition of a bittering agent to retail containers of antifreeze to deter ingestion and poisonings of children and animals. However, many people get their cars serviced at garages, which use wholesale containers of antifreeze that are not treated with a bittering agent. Leaks of untreated antifreeze still result in poisonings. In MA legislation has been filed that would require that wholesale containers, such as those used at automotive service stations, also contain a bittering agent to prevent ingestion. Find out what your state requires and speak to your representatives about a national law.

Y3K Tutor In Your Home is proud to donate tutoring to be auctioned off at the Fur Ball. Fur Ball 2012 is a dance party to benefit the Animal Rescue League of Boston and its programs. Join Y3K Tutor In Your Home at this event as we raise money for the rock stars of the animal world! The Fur Ball will feature DJ Big Missy playing the hits of the 1970’s and 1980’s, a silent auction of amazing items which includes our tutoring, and a “Best Dressed” competition.

All proceeds from the event will directly help the Animal Rescue League of Boston, a humane organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for animals that are injured, displaced, abandoned or abused. Your participation in the 2012 Fur Ball is greatly appreciated and crucial to helping sustain and grow the Animal Rescue League of Boston’s ability to provide outstanding rescue and care services to needy animals. Y3K Tutor In Your Home will make Animal Rescue League of Boston blankets, toys and food pickups this week in Dover, Natick, Needham, Newton, Brookline, Wayland, Wellesley, Weston and Sudbury. Call or email to schedule a pickup! For those that are outside of these towns, we also have drop off locations in Needham and Newton.

MCAS Update

MA has raised MCAS 10th grade English & math passing score from 220 to 240 to graduate. This will hurt kids all over from Boston to Weston.
