Lincoln-Sudbury High School: Shared Leadership = No Leadership
Lincoln-Sudbury High School in Massachusetts has replaced team captains with “shared leadership” so athletes won’t have their feelings hurt. Insanity like this causes kids to not know how to compete or succeed in life. This nonsense does not teach students how to function in the real world.
Everyone Gets a Trophy
The “everyone gets a trophy” trend for kids teams and clubs does not help self-esteem or self-confidence.
Competition
Competition for kids can be good for them. From competition, they learn how to handle both winning and losing.
