Halloween Trick or Treating Flashlight Safety

When trick or treating, kids should carry a flashlight. Make sure to check the batteries way beforehand. Don’t assume the flashlight works and then have your child find out it doesn’t once they are already out in the dark street.

Children should stay on sidewalks when trick or treating. If there aren’t any, walk on the left side of the road facing traffic. This way children are able to see oncoming cars and can move out of the way if a car gets too close to them.
