Divorce and Children
It is hurtful when one parent says bad things about the other in front of a child. Divorce can be rough but remain positive. Remember no matter how you feel, children want to love both parents.

Divorce and Academics
A divorce can affect all aspects of a student’s life including academics. Even if separated and at odds, BOTH parents must insist on maintaining high academic standards.
Divorce
When parents divorce, the children always suffer. Explain to your kids that both parents love them and that it isn’t their fault.
Reality of Special Ed. Services
School systems will deny services because of money, yet tell you help isn’t needed. They then make you out to be unruly for taking a stand.
SPED Homework
SPED kids must be given the same type of reports, projects, homework, and tests as the rest of the class. It’s up to the school to modify them as needed.
Fight For Your Kids
Special ed. and gifted students are sometimes written off and not pushed to their full potential. It is up to you to make sure this does not happen.
Accommodations
It is not up to you to accommodate the school system. It is up to the school system to accommodate your child and you.
