Y3K Tutor In Your Home Golden Rule for Living: If you hurt someone accidentally, let them know it was an accident and apologize.

Most fights occur because this rule is not followed. Kids often fight others because they think that the other kid is attacking them. The reality often times is the “attacker” accidentally hurt the “victim” and never acknowledged that it was accidental. The “victim” then retaliates and attacks the “attacker”. The “attacker” then feels that they are being attacked. At this point major fights can occur. The simple solution is to recognize a mistake happened and apologize for it.

MCAS Retest Schedule November 2011

The MCAS English Language Arts (ELA) and Math retests are scheduled for mid November. These tests will only be issued to 11th or 12th grade students that have received a failing or needs improvement score on their previous MCAS tests starting in 10th grade. If a student has previously passed one of the two subjects, they will only have to take one retest in the failing subject.
