Y3K Tutor In Your Home gave Mount Alvernia Academy in Newton, MA tutoring and test preparation for their auction. Their Starry Night Auction will be happening this Saturday. Proceeds from the auction will be utilized to upgrade and acquire new technology, enhance their academic programs and maintain the school’s grounds and facilities.

The Bigelow Middle School in Newton, MA will be having their “Big Night” Auction on Saturday. Y3K Tutor In Your Home contributed a tutoring and test preparation to the fundraiser. The proceeds will fund much needed curriculum enriching programs through the Creative Arts and Sciences program, student field trip scholarships, classroom supplies and project materials, technology purchases, and more. All of these items enrich the children’s education at Bigelow Middle School. Without our donation and your bids, programs like these would not be available to them.

Y3K Tutor In Your Home recently donated tutoring and test preparation services to the Underwood Online Auction. Be sure to bid generously for the Newton, MA children. Our donation and your bids help the Underwood School PTO raise money to pay for teacher’s classroom supplies, project materials, important curriculum enrichment programs through the Creative Arts and Sciences program, technology purchases, and so much more. We had first engaged Y3K Tutor In Your Home five years ago, when our son rose at 1:00 AM one night and said he’d felt as if he were “drowning in school”. This is despite the excellent LD assistance provided in his middle school. During their first meeting, I could hear my shy son actually giggling with the tutor and his confidence, outlook, and grades all began to shift seismically.
Today, that frightened little boy is a confident and fully engaged student who graduated high school this past spring and on the honor roll. As he and his tutor have built a wonderful relationship of trust and friendship, we intend this relationship to continue through college. There will be a silent auction for the Newton-Wellesley Hospital Annual Gala. This year’s event will help shed light on opioid and substance use disorders in our community. With the Y3K Tutor In Your Home auction donation, they will be able to support the launch of the Newton-Wellesley Hospital’s multidisciplinary service dedicated to preventing and treating substance use disorders.
