Here is the complete list of items collected for the Y3K Tutor In Your Home 11th Annual Buddy Dog Humane Society Collection Drive. Pick ups are from November 1st to January 1st. Call now!

Most Needed Items:
• Limited-slip or Martingale collars of all sizes
• Non-clumping, clay cat litter
• Litter box deodorizer
• Bleach, laundry detergent, liquid dish soap, sponges
• Waterless hand sanitizer
• New, standard-sized litter boxes (no hood)
• Rubbing alcohol and distilled water

For the Cats and Kittens:
• Science Diet brand dry food
• Canned cat food (any brand, not shredded variety)
• Blankets and soft cat beds
• Towels
• Toys (squeaky toys, balls, stuffed mice, fishing pole toys, catnip)

For the Dogs and Puppies:
• Science Diet brand dry food
• Canned dog food (any brand or variety)
• Leashes (4, 6, or 8-foot; not the retractable kind)
• Toys (squeaky & plush toys; no tennis balls/rope toys)
• Pressed raw hides
• Blankets and soft dog beds
• Step in harness small and medium sizes

For the Staff:
• Office supplies: dry-erase markers & two-pocket folders
• Paper towels and tissues
• Medical supplies such as cotton balls, hydrogen peroxide, Q-Tips, and first-aid items

MIAA Brings Gymnastics Back To Newton

The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association recently made a decision to reinstate boys’ gymnastics after deciding to eliminate it earlier in the year. The change of heart came about after an uproar of letters and petitions demanding the MIAA bring the sport back. This ruling affects several cities and towns including Y3K Tutor In Your Home’s City of Newton. Both Newton North High School and Newton South High School currently have boys’ gymnastics teams.

Physical Kinesthetic Learners

Physical (kinesthetic) learners like to touch, feel and use their hands. They learn best by what they do and experience. They prefer hands on projects.

Students with the physical learning style are likely to use the body and sense of touch to learn about the world around them. It is likely that they enjoy sports, exercise, and other physical activities such as working with their hands. They are more sensitive to the physical world around them and notice textures in clothes or furniture. Physical learners tend to like getting their hands dirty. They would prefer to pull an engine apart and put it back together rather than reading or looking at diagrams about how it works.
