Parents should raise their voice selectively. If it is done sparingly, it will be much more effective. Kids can tune out constant yelling.
Some children misbehave and not realize they did anything wrong. It is important that you make them understand why and what they did was inappropriate.
It is important to talk to kids about bad behavior directly after it occurs. “Out of sight/out of mind” can happen when done too much later.
You can teach kids with behavior issues how others feel by role playing appropriate/inappropriate conduct. Try reversing roles and analyze together.
For behaviorally challenged kids, help them see another’s perspective. The trouble may be caused from not understanding how others feel.
