School Systems Wasting Your Children’s Tax Money: Public Relations Aides
Many school systems are struggling to find money to fund its basic programs. In fact in Newton, MA they will be voting on a Proposition 2 ½ override for more funds while in Needham, MA they are looking at having to cut approximately 2% -3% from next year’s budget. At the same time however, school systems are wasting lots of money on “public relations aides” to speak to the media and parents on their behalf. The purpose of these public relations aides are to give a positive spin on whatever the school system wants you to believe and at taxpayer expense. Gone are the days of the $213,000+ salaried Superintendent defending the system’s position to parents and media. Apparently the Superintendent and all of the other $129,000+ Assistant Superintendents are “too busy” to speak effectively to the parents.

The Needham Community Farm in Needham, MA is once again having their annual Ready Set Grow Benefit and Y3K Tutor In Your Home is proud to be a part of it. Greene’s Field Needham – Go Green St. Patrick’s Day Party!
The Greene’s Field Fundraising Committee and its partner, the Needham Sports Council have a very special event planned for Saturday March 16, 2013. The Go Green St. Patrick’s Day Party and Auction will be located at Needham Town Hall. The Needham Sports Council will include our auction donation for Y3K Tutor In Your Home’s Needham tutoring and test prep services in support of the Greene’s Field revitalization project.
Your bid at the auction will go a long way in helping to rebuild and revitalize Greene’s Field in downtown Needham. With our auction donation and your bid, we will be closer to reaching the goal of recreating Greene’s Field as a destination park. We will make it a place to meet other families at the playground, a place for a quiet stroll, a place to shoot some basketball, watch a Needham Little League game, or a place to meet a coworker for lunch.
Our auction donation is also a good investment in our Needham community. An active park will help to keep downtown Needham vibrant and strong. During the months of November and December, Y3K Tutor In Your Home will donate 10% of all tutoring receipts from new Needham clients.
