College Tuition On The Rise

College tuition has been increasing for many years. Many families struggle to come up with the money needed to pay for it. One reason for these rising costs are high administrator salaries and benefits paid out. Another reason is unnecessary administrators that are on the payroll that serve little function.

PARCC Tests Grades = MCAS + 2

Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 currently take MCAS tests in math and English, with some grades also taking annual science tests. The PARCC tests will also start in grade 3 but will be given straight through to 11th grade in both math and English. This is an addition of test taking in grades 9 and 11. PARCC Tests – Two Parts

Common Core State Standards Initiative Major Changes: Standardized Tests

The Common Core State Standards Initiative will trigger a higher level of critical thinking and deeper understanding into your child’s curriculum. There will also be a new standardized test in English and math. The Common Core benchmarks will be supported by one of two new standardized tests in the 2014-2015 school year.
