The Weston Education Enrichment Fund Committee’s (WEEFC) Autumn Fundraiser will be happening this year on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 6:00 pm. This year’s Autumn Auction and Dinner Dance will be held at the Rivers School in Weston, MA. The theme of this year’s auction is “Time in New England”. The evening features silent and live auction items including stays in luxurious resorts, fabulous meals, vacation packages, sports tickets and many other unique opportunities. Watch for our generous auction donation as well as we always do our best to give back to the Weston, MA community.

The MCAS English Language Arts (ELA) and Math retests are scheduled for mid November in Weston, MA. These tests will only be issued to 11th or 12th grade students that have received a failing or needs improvement score on their previous MCAS tests starting in 10th grade. If a student has previously passed one of the two subjects, they will only have to take one retest in the failing subject.

Weston, MA May 2011 MCAS Testing Schedule

The math and science portions of the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System better known as the MCAS test, will be given throughout Weston, MA during the month of May. The elementary and middle school math MCAS test will be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 50 minutes. The high school math MCAS test will also be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 60+ minutes. For grades 5 and 8 the science MCAS test will be 2 sessions and each session will last approximately 45 minutes. The schedule is as follows:
